Farm B&Bs

The Vosges Mountains are well-known for their fermes-auberges, former summer pasture farms where cowherds and shepherds welcome passers-by to share a meal with them. These mountain inns serve customers their own produce grown on the farm. You can taste the traditional meal of the Vosges farmers: soup, pies, smoked meats, Roïgebrageldi (braised potatoes with onion and bacon), fromage fermier and blueberrry tart (in season). You can also taste other terroir specialties and regional products, and often you can even buy the farm produce while you are there.
